Amanda Nava

Amanda Nava is a 2002 graduate of Ellison High School in Killeen, Texas, and is currently enrolled in the McLennan Community College Veterinary Technician Program. She has been serving as a Technician/Kennel Assistant at the Barkley Animal Clinic and Hospital since June of 2005.

Amanda was born to Panfilo Jr. and Maria Nava, in Heidelberg, Germany December 21, 1983, while her father was serving in the United States Army. Amanda’s family includes her parents, who live in Killeen, and have been married for 34 years, her 13-year-old Lhasa Apso, “Teddy Bear” a.k.a. “Ted Meister” (who has been with Amanda since he was six months old), one older sister, and one older brother, who is currently serving in Iraq.

Amanda enrolled in general studies at Central Texas College for one year, and Baylor University for one year before transferring to the Veterinary Technician Program at MCC.

Amanda has been playing piano since she was 6 years old. She was in Marching Band for 4 years, and in Concert Band for 6 years. When not busy at the Barkley Animal Clinic, Amanda enjoys watching movies, hiking, playing or listening to music, and being with friends and loved ones.
